HIV/AIDS Training Solutions

Management Skills Programme
Designed to equip management with the skills to minimise the risk posed to business by the epidemic.
This interactive two-day programme covers the following modules:
    • Quantifying the risk: The Impact on the Business
    • The Legal Framework
    • The Code of Good Practice and its implications
    • Corporate Governance and Reporting Requirements
    • Building a sound Workplace Strategy
    • Discipline and Grievance issues in the face of HIV/AIDS
    • Succession planning, multi-skilling and training and development in relation to HIV/AIDS.
    • Monitoring, evaluating and optimising the strategy

These Programmes can accommodate a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15 delegates, and can be held in-house if required.

Peer Education Programme

Developed to:

  • Change the attitudes and practices that contribute to high-risk behaviour,
  • Reduce the level of fear and insecurity towards the epidemic,
  • Inculcate a supportive and non-discriminatory response to HIV Positive employees, and
  • Encourage a culture of voluntary testing and disclosure.

This interactive two-day programme provides delegates with the skills and material to conduct on-site awareness programmes and covers:

  • Transmission of HIV and STI's
  • HIV Prevention and Safer Sex
  • Condom usage
  • Attitudes, myths and perceptions
  • Universal Precautions
  • Basic principles of infection control
  • Legal and ethical issues
  • Women's Rights
  • The rights of HIV positive people and HIV negative people in the workplace
  • Presentation and facilitation skills
  •  

Course Fees range from R 4500.00 per person held in-house, or R 5500.00 per person if the programme is conducted at an outside venue and include:
